The Woman Behind the Chair, Tenea Cherry
I began my beauty career in 1993, starting with certifications before licensing was required. After relocating to Charlotte in 2000, I earned my Nail Technician license from Dudley Beauty College in 2005 and later obtained my Cosmetology license in New York in 2007.
Over the years, I've worked in multicultural salons, trained under industry experts, and refined my skills in haircutting, color, and texture across all hair types. In 2016, I opened Beata: The Evolution of Beauty in Charlotte, a salon that thrived—even through the pandemic—until its closing in 2023 as I prepared to relocate.
Now in Greenville, NC, I'm proud to launch Minted Beauty NC—a fresh space where experience meets innovation. With over 30 years in the industry, my mission is to deliver elevated beauty services with expert care and intention.
